The following city tours will be offered in 2026:

  • 30.05.2026 "Neuenhaus and its staircases"

    • There is a network of staircases in, around and all around Neuenhaus. These are characterised by their charm and surprising perspectives - and yet there is much more to discover in Neuenhaus.
  • 27.06.2026 "Neuenhaus and its history"

    • It leads to formative places of the town's development: from a murdered bishop in the neighbourhood to five castle ruins and two born and one deceased count in Neuenhaus. As the former administrative centre of the Lower County, the town tells an impressive story of wealth and poverty in a very small area and of its eventful past between the Middle Ages and modern times.
  • 25.07.2026 "Jewish life in Neuenhaus"

    • They shed light on the history and everyday life of Jewish families in Neuenhaus over the centuries. Participants will experience how closely and naturally Jewish and Christian life often co-existed - people spoke Low German, celebrated together and were good neighbours. Tue, 21 April 2026 from 09:00 - 16:00
  • 26/09/2026 "Lies and deceit in Neuenhaus"

    • Two city guides take participants on a tour of the city's landmarks - and not everything is always as it seems. There is a lot to tell, but don't be fooled.

You can register for the city tour via our OpenRathaus service portal.

With the exception of the themed tour "Jewish Life in Neuenhaus", all tours can also be organised in Low German on request.

Individual guided tours are also offered for groups - can be planned flexibly and at a price of €25.00 per hour. You can use the contact form to request an appointment for a group tour.
