For the upcoming local elections on 13 September and any run-off election that may be required on 27 September, there has been a change to the polling station for polling district No. 7, ‘Hilten Nord’.
It’s that time of year again on the last weekend of August: on 29 and 30 August 2026, Neuenhaus town centre will once more be transformed into a lively festival area. The town warmly invites all residents and visitors to the Traditional Town Festival. Two days packed with entertainment, socialising and a lively atmosphere await visitors.
Since May 2026, the town of Neuenhaus has been organising regular guided tours of the town. Visitors now have the opportunity to discover Neuenhaus in a variety of ways on specific dates – the last Saturday of every month from 3.00 pm. The new guided tours offer fascinating insights into the history, culture and community life of this town steeped in tradition.
This year, 55 children took part in the Pingstekronen competition, using plenty of creativity, skill and attention to detail to create beautiful crowns from willow twigs, oak leaves and flowers.
Good news for Veldhausen! The official ground-breaking ceremony for the construction work to upgrade the railway station in Veldhausen took place in a festive atmosphere. Representatives from the Neuenhaus Town Council and local government, as well as from the district council, the Bentheimer Eisenbahn and the companies involved, were delighted that the construction work is on schedule.
