Family friendliness is a high priority in the town of Neuenhaus. A four-group facility with 30 crèche places and 50 regular places is being built at the site on Papestraße. The investment volume amounts to 4.9 million euros.
Town Clerk Oldekamp conveyed the greetings of the council and administration and thanked all those involved, in particular the Protestant parish of Veldhausen, which is taking over the sponsorship, the architectural firm WBR Wolbeck, the district of Grafschaft Bentheim and the numerous other parties involved for the good cooperation.
As part of the construction of the new daycare centre, the dangerous cycle path situation on Veldhausener Straße is also to be resolved by routing the cycle path coming from the direction of Veldhausen along the daycare centre via Papestraße and Kastanienstraße back to Veldhausener Straße. This means that a long-standing request from the population for more road safety can finally be met.
