The machine makes it possible to mow and maintain verges in a gentle way. Insects and microorganisms are less affected. The cuttings are vacuumed up and recycled. In this way, greater diversification and biodiversity of plants and animals can be achieved in the long term. In our joint municipality alone, up to one kilometre per year is to be treated in this way and form the basis for a biotope network. The device is used throughout the entire district of Grafschaft Bentheim and was funded as part of the LEADER programme of the LAG Grafschaft Bentheim.
