Village region Nordhorn - Neuenhaus - Lage

Call for applications for micro-projects

As part of the Nordhorn-Neuenhaus-Lage village renewal programme, it is once again possible to apply for funding for so-called micro-projects. Associations, parishes or institutions as well as private individuals have the opportunity to receive a grant of up to 2,500 euros per project.

The village region of Nordhorn-Neuenhaus-Lage has been part of the village development programme of the state of Lower Saxony for some time now. This opens up a wide range of funding opportunities, including funding for so-called micro-projects. Anyone wishing to plan and implement smaller projects that benefit the common good of the population in the village region can apply for financial support.

The aim of the funding is to strengthen civic engagement, coexistence, community togetherness and networking. Eligible measures can include, for example, smaller upgrades to squares, meeting places and meeting spaces. This also includes permanently installed or inventoried new purchases for clubs, groups and the village community.

The total funding volume for micro-projects as part of village development totals 30,000 euros. The amount of funding is determined individually for each project and can amount to a maximum of 2,500 euros. A financial contribution from the applicant is always required.

Interested parties can contact the planning office "regionalplan & uvp" for free advice on the eligibility of micro-projects for funding. Telephone: 05902 / 503 702-0; e-mail: dorfentwicklung@regionalplan-uvp.de. The blank profile, which must be completed in order to apply for funding, is also available there.

Applications can be submitted to the planning office by email until 1 May 2026. The village development working group of the Nordhorn-Neuenhaus-Lage village region will then decide on the selection of projects. The municipalities then submit the applications for approval of the funding to the Office for Regional Development. This project serves the sustainable development and increased attractiveness of villages in rural regions as residential, economic, recreational, social and cultural areas. The aim is to improve the living conditions of the rural population.
