Headmistress Ms Vennegeerts hosted the programme. The mayor of the municipality of Osterwald, Gerda Brookman, the mayor of the joint municipality, Günter Oldekamp, and the school's parents' representatives also gave welcoming speeches. The official presentation of the award was made by the head of the school department, Mrs Claas, and the specialist advisor for school sport, Mr Müller.
However, the focus was primarily on the children: together they gave an impressive account of the wide range of sporting activities and projects they take part in during and after school throughout the year. Children from the
4. Year 4 children also presented a sporting performance on the skipping rope, before a joint break for exercise with the help of the wheel of fortune actively involved all the children and adults!
To round off the evening, there was another atmospheric performance as the children sang Christmas carols together.
