Connection of "My company account (MUK)"

It is another important step in the digitalisation of official services: From now on, companies can register in the service portal of the district of Grafschaft Bentheim and the municipalities belonging to the district via "My Business Account" (MUK). This is a government-provided user account for standardised access to various business-related administrative services throughout Germany.

By integrating the MUK into the service portal, companies are offered a secure, data protection-compliant and efficient way to handle administrative processes digitally. This reduces the bureaucratic burden and helps to speed up procedures. "With this innovation, the district and the local authorities belonging to the district are emphasising their commitment to a modern and service-oriented administration that meets the requirements of companies," says District Administrator Uwe Fietzek. The MUK is used, for example, for online applications in the areas of trade, construction and business development.

Legal entities, associations and natural persons who are professionally or commercially active can use the MUK to identify and authenticate themselves and communicate with the authorities. It is based on the proven ELSTER technology. A mandatory requirement for use is the existence of a German tax number, regardless of the basis on which this is based.
