Events in the Neuenhaus joint municipality

Every 1st Monday of the month, the Heimatfreunde Neuenhaus meet from 19:30 - 21:00 and collect documents, photos and literature about Neuenhaus and the surrounding area. These are presented to the public in annual exhibitions in the Old Town Hall, among other places.

Anyone who is professionally or privately interested in the history of Neuenhaus or Neuenhaus residents is welcome to attend. If you have contemporary historical documents or objects from the area of today's town of Neuenhaus that you would like to hand in or have deciphered, please contact us.
We photograph, scan, decipher and document what is presented to us.
The items can remain in your possession or be handed in to us if they are not yet in our possession.

The AWO in Neuenhaus organises a coffee afternoon every Tuesday from 15:00 - 17:00 in its premises at Hinterstraße 22. The afternoon is usually accompanied by a film screening.

The DRK standby team in Neuenhaus meets every Thursday evening from 19:30 - 22:30 for its training evenings. These training evenings are used to acquire and consolidate knowledge for work in disaster control and the extended rescue service. Examples of topics include patient transport with various aids, driving in a closed dressing, casualty care, setting up contact points for uninjured victims and much more.

The planning of medical services also plays a role for us, as we cover various events in Neuenhaus, in the district and throughout Germany. Examples include the town festival, the events organised by the Kulturpass and the shooting clubs, the Grafschaft Open Air, the Hurricane Festival and events at the Vonovia Ruhr Stadium (VfL Bochum).

As a member of the standby team, you can take part in all these activities, deepen your knowledge and do something good for others.

We are always happy to welcome people who want to get involved or just want to get a taste of what it's like. The organisation is open to anyone aged 16 and over.

Anyone who writes or wants to write is welcome.

Any genre is welcome: Family story, a baby book, a fantasy story or similar.
Any type of text is possible: poem, short story, book, blog, Instagram or website. The writing group meets on Thursdays from 19:00 - 20:30 on the premises of the Samtgemeindebücherei, Veldhausener Straße 46

There's something for your ears here!

Reading time in the municipal library with reading mentor Norbert Voshaar.
A free event for children aged 5 and over. No registration required! The reading sessions take place on the first Friday of the month from 18:00 - 19:00

The children can collect stamps and receive a surprise after the fourth visit. Parents are welcome to listen in or make themselves comfortable in the coffee corner.

Our media café offers you the perfect opportunity to get free personalised advice on PCs, smartphones and tablets. Let our dedicated volunteer digital guides support you individually and at eye level and find out about exciting digital topics!
In the ev.-ref. parish hall, Kirchstr. 5, 49828 Neuenhaus from 15 January 2025, every 1st + 3rd Wednesday of the month from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm No registration required and free of charge!
Just drop by, enjoy a cup of coffee and expand your digital knowledge in a sociable atmosphere.
